JAMMU, June 29: Providing best infrastructure facilities to the residents of Gandhi Nagar constituency at their doorstep, BJP leader Baldev Singh Billawaria along with councillor, Anil Kumar started the black topping on the main road in village Langar area.
On this occasion, Billawaria highlighted the major works taken up in the constituency in the past years. He said that construction of the road was a long pending demand of the residents of the area and that demand has been fulfilled. Billawaria said that it is a matter of shame for those who ruled the State for many years after independence and failed to carry out development works.
He said that these areas adjoining the city are still undeveloped and one can imagine the fate of other far off areas. He said the claims of the previous regimes of carrying out all round development were mere slogans to lure the voters. He said that development is the mantra of the Modi Government and “We are committed to get every development done in Gandhi Nagar constituency’’. He said that Gandhi Nagar constituency is moving towards achieving the status of a Model constituency. Later Billawaria interacted with the locals to know about their problems. The local residents apprised him about their problems which mainly included the bad condition of power cables and unscheduled power cuts. After listening to grievances of the people, Billawaria spoke to PDD officers on the phone and apprised them about the problems of the locals. The PDD officials assured that a string of power infrastructure development projects have been started to improve quality and quantity of power supply to equally benefit the said area.
Billawaria said that many other projects in the area would start soon and would be completed in a time bound manner. The people in general and social workers complimented Billawaria for getting the development done in the area. Mandeep Chaudhary, Jamit Singh, Ashok Kumar, Ramesh Kumar, Som Nath, Prem Nath, Madan Lal, Janak Raj were also present on this occasion.
