KATHUA, June 27: P.C Sharma Trade Union leader and President social organization Basohli while expressing his satisfaction over the various steps taken by Narendra Modi Government for the development and welfare of the people in J&K, however demanded that the process of providing employment to unemployed youth in the UT and regularization of 62000 daily wagers whose names have been registered on portal be intensified.
Talking to reporters at Basholi today, he said the daily wagers are waiting for their regularization for about two decades and the previous Government had initiated the process in this regard which may be intensified as thousands of families are involved with them.
He also demanded bifurcation of Basholi Assembly segment in two constituencies in view of its long boundary for its rapid development.
He said that all party meaning convened by Prime Minister was a step in right direction and the delimitation will set right the political imbalances in Jammu and Kashmir.
Sharma said that abrogation of article 370 and conversion of state in Union territory was the need of hour to break the monopoly of some politicians who created regional imbalances in the erstwhile State.
He said that strategy of Central Governmental to control the COVID-19 Pandemic was quite appreciable especially in realm of proactive vaccination in J&K UT and bracing up the hospitals/ medical institutions by installing oxygen generation plants in the hour of need etc.
Though many challenges like COVID-19, militancy, natural calamities, took place but Central Government under the leadership of Narendra Modi daringly tackled it. Sharma said that the initiative of Government on challengeable jobs like citizenship to the refugees’ restoration of Panchayati Raj and establishment of three tier system through election of BDC and DDC were appropriate decisions.
He said that much has been done by the Government but the issues like employment package to the unemployed youths, regularization of daily wagers, bifurcation of Basohli constituency needs special consideration and he appealed to Prime Minister, LG JKUT and Union Minister, Dr. Jitendra Singh to give their special consideration to these issues.
