UDHAMPUR, June 7: Vice Chairman of District Development Council Udhampur, Juhi Manhas Pathania today kick started blacktop work on Goswami Talai (Babey) road with the estimated cost of Rs 66 lakhs, here today.
While inaugurating the blacktop work, she said that it was the one burning demand of the people of Upper Bobey and said that she is committed to fulfil all the public popular demands and the pace of the development works must go on even during COVID pandemic.
She appealed the people to follow the set guidelines and SOPs issued by the Government to curtail the pandemic. “There is no need to panic and we shall overcome this crisis if we fight it together with dedication and discipline,” she asserted.
She also inspected isolation centre established at Bobey and gave order to the officers and PRIs to works with fullest dedication.
Pathania also directed the Health Department to organise vaccination camps at Babey, GS Banj, Chore Panjian, Motu and other far flung pockets of the district.
Ved Pal Sharma, Kamla Devi Sarpanch, Tirath Ram Naib Sarpanch, Sunita Devi, Panch and Jagjit Singh were present during the event.
