JAMMU, May 24: NSUI National president Neeraj Kundan has opposed the decision of MHRD to postpone the class 12th Board examination to July-August due to COVID-Pandemic.
Conduct Class 12th board examinations in July-August could be life threatening to the students, Kundan said in a letter to MHRD, adding, no such decision must be taken without a feasible plan of vaccinating all such students.
“Amid fear that our country will be facing the third wave any time soon, it is not wise to conduct class 12 board examination any time soon without vaccinating the students, while knowing that 3rd wave of COVID will hit children the most,” Kundan opined.
He urged that till the Central Government does not come up with a concrete plan to vaccinate the children, no board exams should be conducted keeping in view the safety of the students which are future of this country.
