JAMMU, May 2: Chowki Choura Police arrested two drug peddlers and recovered poppy straw from their possession.
As per police sources, a team from Police Post Chowki Choura led by SI Ankuj Bhagat under the supervision of SHO Akhnoor Inspector Hilal Azhar laid a naka and intercepted an Alto car bearing registration number JK12-4498.
During checking, police team recovered 4 kilograms of poppy straw and arrested two persons, who were identified as Romesh Chander, son of Yashpal and Mohammad Hussain, son of Ghulam, both residents of Tehsil Pouni District Reasi.
A case under FIR Number 115/2021 under Section 8/25 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Akhnoor and investigation started.
