JAMMU, Apr 26: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) has claimed that the machines, trucks, sanitizer tanks etc worth crore of rupees belonging to Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) are lying defunct at Manda.
Addressing a press conference here today JWAM president, Sunil Dimple informed that he sent a video recorded memorandum and photos to the J&K LG and Chief Secretary on the working of JMC.
He said that claims of JMC to make Jammu green, clean and smart city are false.
Dimple alleged that when all the government machinery and the people are jointly fighting the pandemic, JMC has left the innocent people to die by not doing its duty sincerely.
He said that their demand of sanitizing all the 75 JMC Wards repeatedly fell into deaf ears of the JMC.
The JWAM leader claimed that JMC enforcement officer only harasses traders, lifts their goods forcibly, damage shops and newly constructed houses on the pretext of encroachment.
Dimple demanded CBI probe into the work done by the JMC.
