KATHUA, Apr 23: Kathua police today seized 13 bottles of illicit liquor in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS), Bani and arrested the bootlegger.
A police team of PS Bani during naka checking in its jurisdictional area near Dhaggar apprehended one suspect namely Deep Raj, son of Gian Chand of Dhara tehsil, Bani, district Kathua.
On his physical checking, 13 bottles of JK Whisky was recovered from his possession by the police party and he was arrested on spot.
A case vide FIR No.14/2021 U/S 48 (E) Excise Act was registered in the Bani Police Station and further investigation has been initiated.
