JAMMU, Apr 19: Administration in district Reasi today imposed a fine of Rs 28,000 on 90 persons violation COVID protocol including not wearing masks and vehicles carrying more passengers than permitted strength.
The day long drive was led by ARTO Reasi Rajesh Gupta.
A total of 19 vehicles were challaned/compounded by the team of Motor Vehicles Department Reasi for carrying more passengers than permitted strength, thus, violating the COVID guidelines.
Rs 28,000 fine was imposed on them.
Fine was also realised on spot from the persons not wearing masks while moving on roads.
The drive will continue, Gupta said.
