JAMMU, Apr 18: Sharda Mata Trust Bantalab has urged the Punjab National Bank (PNB) authorities to trace out the Rs 18,000 which were withdrawn from its account fraudulently last month.
The Trust president, Bharat Bhushan Pandita in a statement said that though taking up the issue with Bank authorities as well as the police no action has been taken in this regard till date and the person who has done the fraud has not been traced by the Bank till date.
Pandita said that they had given a cheque amounting to Rs 5000 from their account lying with PNB Durga Nagar to Raina Electronics which he had deposited at JK Bank Branch Bantalab for withdrawal but the amount was not credited to the account of Raina Electronics and after inquiry he came to know that the cheque was missing. Later it was found that Rs 18000 against the same cheque have been withdrawn from the account of Sharda Trust by forging the cheque.
But till date the Bank has failed to trace the fraud and punish the guilty. The Trust demanded immediate action and crediting of money back in its account.
