KATHUA, Apr 17: Continuing the war against drugs Kathua police today arrested another drug peddler in the jurisdiction of Lakhanpur Police Station.
Police said during a special naka checking at Basoli Morh in Lakhanpur area under the supervision SHO, Sumit Sharma a team of police led by PSI Mohd Yousuf Lone, one drug peddler was caught with possession of about five grams of heroin like substance from his possession. In this case FIR No 54/2021 U/S 8/21/22 NDPs stands registered at Police Station Lakhanpur.
The drug peddler was arrested and he has been put to interrogation by police.
The Kathua police on the directives of SSP, Romesh Chander Kotwal and under the supervision of Dy SP, Bishm Dubey has launched a crackdown on drug peddlers, illicit trade of liquor and bovine smuggling in the district. Police has also sought the cooperation of the public asking them to share the information with it about the drug smugglers, illicit traders of liquor and bovine smugglers.
