JAMMU, Apr 15: Residents of Bhagwati Nagar, Sector-2 staged a protest demonstration against Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) for defunct drainage system in their Ward 14.
The protest was held under the leadership of Bhanu Partap Singh Goria where political activist Partap Singh Jamwal was also present there.
The protesters said that they are facing many problems due to the poor drainage system in their area.
Speaking on the occasion, Bhanu said, they are stuck inside their houses for the last several days as they fear going outside may infect them as there is poor drainage in the area.
Partap Singh said that drainage in the area is defunct and there is nobody to listen to the woes of the affected people.
He demanded that JMC authorities should take appropriate action in this regard so that the locals of the area may heave a sigh of relief.
Akash Meenia, Vishal Gupta, Sham Lal, Mangat Ram, Ajay Kumar and Bharat Thakur were also present on the occasion.
