KATHUA, Apr 14: District Police under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua, RC Kotwal, has launched crackdown at various places against illegal mining in the district and in consequence have seized five vehicles including an excavator in different instance within 24hours.
Among this, one dumper was seized by a team led by Incharge Police Post (PP) Chadwal which was handed over to Mining Department for further proceedings.
While in another instance,a team of Police Station (PS) Lakhanpur in its jurisdictional area near Basantpur found a tipper bearing Registration Number PB06AU9577 indulged in illegal mining and illegal transportation of construction material was also seized.
In addition, three vehicles including an excavator and dumper were seized by a team led by SHO Rajbagh in the jurisdiction of PS Rajbagh and all the vehicles were handed over to the officials of Mining Department for further course of action.
