JAMMU, Apr 2: To discuss various parameters including investigation of roads by Police Department through RADMS App, Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Ajay Kumar today held a meeting with the concerned officers.
The meeting was attended by Additional Superintendent of Police Reasi Surjeet Kumar, ACR Sanjay Badyal, CMO Rajeev Sharma, CEO Mushtaq Ahmed, ARTO Rajesh Gupta, X-Ens of PWD and PMGSY and BRO.
Threadbare discussion was held in the meeting with respect to several agenda points including formulation of District Road Safety Plan 2020-21, Investigation of roads by Police department through RADMS App. in order to know the actual reason of accident, identification of black spots/accidental prone areas for taking corrective measures/repairs, installation of crash barriers/road signage’s, removal of encroachments from footpath and roads, organizing of medical camps, availability of ambulances on National Highway and accidental prone areas for immediate shifting, recommendation for suspension of driving licenses for violation of traffic rules especially over speeding, drunk driving etc.
The Deputy Commissioner while speaking during the meeting said that public safety is one of the most important aspect in order to avoid roadside accidents, injuries and deaths and everyone should respect each other while driving and take proper care of their own and others safety.
He asked the committee members to work in close coordination and ensure that all the road safety norms are followed by the citizens in the district.
