JAMMU, Mar 24: Gharota Police arrested a notorious criminal and recovered sharp edged weapon from his possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Police Station Gharota laid a naka at Kanger Talab and intercepted a motorcycle bearing registration number JK02K-5037.
During checking, police team recovered spring actuated knife (sharp edged weapon) from the possession of the rider and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Farman Ali, son of Sher Mohammad, a resident of Ward Number 2 Keran Nallah District Jammu.
It is pertinent to mention here that the arrested person was a notorious criminal and was involved in cases registered at Gharota and Domana Police Stations.
A fresh case under FIR Number 20/2021 under Section 4/25 Arms Act has been registered against the arrested person at Police Station Gharota and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Gharota Inspector Khyati Maan Khajuria made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Varun Jandial and SP Rural Sanjay Sharma.
