Samba police rescues 18 bovines

SAMBA, Mar 24: District police Samba foiled an attempt to smuggle bovines by rescuing 18 animals at village Kumi in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS), Samba.
A police party of Police Post, Chilla Danga while performing partrolling duty in its jurisdictional area, noticed a person at village Kumi moving with cattles under suspicious conditions. On seeing the police party, the suspected person taking advantage of the darkness fled away from the spot leaving behind a herd of 18 cattle which were being smuggled towards Valley by foot.
All the 18 cattle were rescued and shifted to safer places.
In this connection, a case FIR No. 92/2021 U/S 188 IPC stands registered at PS Samba and investigation started.
