KPs main stakeholders of Kashmir: AIMCCC

JAMMU, Mar 24: A meeting of AIMCCC organisation was held at Jagti township today under the chairmanship of it’s senior leader, B K Raina.
The meeting demanded empowerment of KPs at par with other communities by granting political reservation to the community.
It demanded that the KPs be given reservation both in Assembly and Parliament and there should be separate budget for the displaced people. It further demanded release of balanced ex-gratia of damaged, burnt houses and other properties of displaced people in Valley in early 90’s, restoration of all encroached land, installation of four bore Wells at Jagti township, implementation of all social welfare and other scheme for KPs, permanent rehabilitation of KPs in Valley and compensation to those who could not get jobs during 32 years of exile.
While briefing the members AIMCCC chief, Desh Ratten Pandita said that his organisation is working for the cause of displaced Pandits and it is need of the time to make organisation strong .
He said some people are trying to divide the community to make it weak and are trying to play politics within the community which needs to be rejected. He demanded registration of all un registered migrants immediately so that these people can get justice. While speaking B K Raina, P N Jalali, Anjli Tikoo and Veerji Raina, M N Kanth stressed on strengthening the organisation. They said KPs will fight against discrimination. KPs are the main stakeholders of Kashmir Valley so it is duty of Government of India to have talks with migrants especially living in camps.
