JAMMU, Mar 22: Akhnoor Police arrested a criminal and recovered sharp edged weapon from his possession.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Police Station Akhnoor laid a naka and intercepted a vehicles bearing registration number JK02CG-5670, which was coming from Old Bridge towards Akhnoor town.
During checking, police team recovered sharp edged weapon (toka) from the vehicle and arrested the driver, who was identified as Sajan Kumar alias Sanjay, a resident of Pargwal District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 76/2021 under Section 4/25 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Akhnoor and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Akhnoor Inspector Ravi Singh Parihar made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Varun Jandial and SP Rural Sanjay Sharma.
