SAMBA, Mar 21 : A 12-year-old child was burnt to death in a painful accident today at Chak Manga Gujran in near, here.
The deceased child was identified as Khalid, son of Mohammad Israel. According to the police, a sudden fire broke out due to short circuit in the temporary shed (Kulla) and a 12-year-old child got trapped in the middle of it. Immediately after the fire, the local people carried out a rescue operation and informed the fire tenders. But by the time the fire could be controlled, the child was completely burnt to ashes.
A pall of gloom has descended in the village due to this painful accident. The dead body of the deceased was shifted in the mortuary room of District Hospital Samba for postmortem. The police has registered a case in this regard under relevant sections of the law.
