JAMMU, Mar 19: A meeting of National Awami United Party (NAUP) was held here today under the chairmanship of its president Sandeep Singh.
Speaking in the meeting Sandeep Singh stressed on the need of empowering women and to highlight their issues.
To further rejuvenate the political activism among women in different parts of J&K, he stressed on the need to give ample space and opportunities to women in all spheres of life.
Meanwhile, president NAUP appointed Sabya Ayub as district president Ramban and Renu Bala as district secretary Jammu.
On her appointment as district president Sabya Ayub stated that there were numerous problems being faced by Ramban people.
She assured to not to leave any stone unturned in highlighting issues of people and help women in all possible ways.
Renu Bala too assured that she would work for the society at grass root level.
Prominent among those present in the meeting were general secretary, Anil Dev Singh; Rakesh Singh, district president; Pankaj Langoo; provincial secretary; Netar Pal, district vice president and others.
