JAMMU, Mar 19: Maintain that Muslims are more safe in India than theocratic Pakistan, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Minority Morcha national president, Haji Jamal Sidiqi today said that Pakistan is a failed State which instead of keeping its own house in order is meddling in the internal affairs of India.
Talking to this correspondent at the sidelights of Muslim Morcha J&K Working Committee meeting here, today Sidiqi also turned tables on Pak Prime Minister, Imran Khan saying he should solve the problems of his own country and not interfere in India’s affairs.
He lambasted the Pakistani agents in Jammu and Kashmir and accused them of trying to create unrest in the Union Territory with their provocative statements. In this regard he did not spare the former Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti and president of People’s Democratic Party who had earlier said that no one will be left to take Indian Tricolour in hand if the Government of India tries to touch Article 370 and now she is looking towards Imran Khan.
Turning tables on dynastic parties in J&K, the BJP leader said that they exploited Muslims of the erstwhile State over last six decades for their vested interests and deprived them of the benefits of the grass root democracy. “The Muslims of the J&K were deprived of various benefits which the people of the other states were getting”, he added.
Sidiqi said that it was for the first time that Modi Government took an initiative for the welfare of people of J&K and the Muslims of the UT will now get better job opportunities, take benefits of three tier democratic institutions and also there will be all round development as BJP Government believes in Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas and Sabka Vishwas.
He said Modi Government provided an opportunity to the Muslims of the country to take the decisions on their own instead of being misled by the political parties for their vested interests. This is the reason that the large number of people in Assam, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu and Kerala which are going to polls are joining the BJP in large numbers.
Accusing the Congress and other political parties of exploiting the Muslims by terming BJP a communal party, he said this was done just for the vote bank politics by these parties and they tried to distance Muslims from BJP. How BJP can be a communal party when veteran Muslim leader, late Skinder Bhakat was one of its founder leaders.
