Batwal Association organizes religious function

JAMMU, Mar 14: A religious function was organised in Trimurti Mandir at village Garhi in which Sarpanch Jyoti Motan, Sarpanch Ram Sharan and a larger number of devotees from different areas participated with enthusiasm.
District Development Council (DDC) Jammu Chairman, Bharat Bhushan was the chief guest on this occasion and addressing the gathering he said that religion gives meaning and purpose to life, reinforces social unity and stability, acts as an agent of social control, promotes psychological and physical well-being and motivates people to work for positive social change.
The chief guest felicitated J&K Batwal Welfare Association members for doing commendable social service to the community.
He also felicitated Association’s former general secretaries, R.L Kaith and Dr Ramesh Kaith and distributed trophies to a number of outstanding students.
Earlier, the lady advocates—Indu Kumari Sandhu, Leena Devi Sargotra and Jagdeep Kour Sargotra were honoured by the Sarpanch Jyoti Motan.
