JAMMU, Mar 13: Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) of Special Operation Group (SOG) Jammu has been arrested for brandishing his service weapon on Army jawan’s family with the intention to kill them.
As per police sources, ASI SOG Jammu identified as Amrit Paul Singh alias Vicky, son of Bachan Singh of Nai Basti Ghou Manhasan entered into the house of an army jawan in Gho Manhasa and brandished his service weapon with the intention to kill them. He also assaulted the Army jawan’s family members.
On getting information, police team from Pouni Chak Police Post led by SI Dilawar Kumar rushed to the spot and arrested the ASI. The weapon has also been seized.
A case under FIR Number 76/2021 under Section 307/452 IPC and 30 Police Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Domana and hunt has been launched to nab Happy Singh, brother of accused and Amandeep Singh, son of accused, who were also found involved in the case.
