REASI, Feb 19: Police today foiled an attempt of bovine smuggling at Pouni and arrested the accused.
Reports said that a Police party of Police Station Pouni, led by ASI Kuldeep, was patrolling at Kalad and Setar Nallah area when it spotted a person taking two bulls towards Kashmir via Chandi Matah.
On questioning, the accused, identified as Rashid, son of Kalu of Buelian, Tehsil Pouni, failed to produce any documentary permission from DM for carrying these bovines.
Police arrested the accused and registered a case in this connection, under FIR number 07/2021 U/Section 188-IPC, 3 PCA Act at Police Station Pouni.
