2 die of COVID in J&K, 60 test +ve; 5 cases in Ladakh

JAMMU/SRINAGAR/ LEH, Feb 4: Two persons died of COVID-19 in Jammu and Kashmir while 60 tested positive and 75 recovered from the virus.
Two Corona fatalities in Kashmir were reported from Kupwara and Shopian districts.
In Jammu region, 18 fresh Corona positive cases were reported today including eight in Jammu district, seven Reasi, two Ramban and one in Poonch district. Rest of the six districts didn’t report any positive case today.
Thirteen persons recovered from the virus-12 in Jammu and one in Ramban district.
Jammu region now has 51607 Corona cases. Among them, only 129 are active positives as 50756 have recovered from the virus and there have been 722 casualties.
Five Corona positive cases were reported from Ladakh including three in Leh district and two in Kargil.
Ladakh now has 9740 cases. Among them, 9538 have been treated while 72 are active positives.
There have been 130 Corona casualties in Ladakh.
With two deaths, the fatality count in Kashmir has reached 1221.
Srinagar district with 458 deaths topped the list followed by Baramulla 174, Budgam 118, Kupwara 96, Pulwama 88, Anantnag 86, Bandipora 61, Kulgam 54, Ganderbal 46 and Shopian 40.
Kashmir reported 42 cases today with Srinagar 22, Baramulla 3, Budgam 3, Pulwama 4, Anantnag 5, Ganderbal 4 and Kulgam 1.
The total number of cases in Kashmir division have reached to 73,112 including 71,368 recoveries and 1,221 deaths.
The number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 652 including 523 from Kashmir division.
With 61 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 122,124, which is 97.83 percent of the total cases.
