JAMMU, May 15: Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu, Prof Mohan Paul Singh Ishar today visited the extended campus of Bhaderwah and took stock of the situation after effects of recurring earthquake in the area and its impact over academics and well being of the students, faculty and other staff thereof.
During detailed interactions, several important decisions were taken which, inter allia, include postponement of some of the exams of post-graduate courses like Urdu, Chemistry, MBA and English. It was also decided to shift the examination centre from the Bhaderwah Campus to the Main Campus.
The Vice Chancellor was accompanied by Prof Naresh Padha, Registrar, Prof Keshav Sharma, Chief Coordinator, JK Sharma, Spl Secretary to VC, Dawood Iqbal Baba, Director, Reasi Campus and Irfan Goni.
He, along with his team, interacted with the local faculty, staff and students of under-graduate and post-graduate courses and had on-the-spot feel of their problems in the wake of the tremors that hit the region in the recent days.
Necessary instructions were also issued for the shifting of hostel to safe buildings.
