JWAM activists stage protest

JAMMU, Jan 18: Activists of Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) here today staged a protest demonstration demanding restoration of 4G internet services in J&K and regularization of daily wagers working in different Government departments.
The protest was led by JWAM leader, Sunil Dimple who said there will be a mass agitation if Statehood with special status is not restored to J&K.
He also claimed that problems of J&K youths and public increased after the abrogation of the special status of J&K.
Addressing protesters Dimple said, before DDC election, J&K LG had promised regularization of all daily wagers working in PHE, PDD, PWD, Rehber-e-Khel teachers, Rehber-e-Janglat employees, pharmacists, SPOs, Home Guards, contractual lecturers etc but nothing has been done in this direction till date.
He expressed resentment over the ban on 4G internet services in J&K and said despite LG’s assurance to start these services soon, the government has extended the ban up to January 22.
The JWAM leader also extended support to farmers’ agitation against new farm laws.
Surinder Kapoor, Arjun Kumar, Tarun Kumar, Rajan Kumar, Yunis Khan, Sayeed Ali, Anmol Anand, Arjun Sharma, Divanshu, Astik, Anirudh, Arjun Gupta and others were also present in the protest.
