JAMMU, May 14: Vice Chairman, Jammu Development Authority, Satesh Nehru, along with team of senior officers of JDA comprising Superintending Engineer, Chief Town Planner, Director Land Management, Executive Engineer, Div. I, Tehsildar, and Chief Khilafwarzi Officer visited Railhead Complex and Panchvati Apartments and enquired about the problems being faced by the allottees.
A delegation of allottees of Panchvati Apartments met the Vice Chairman and briefed their grievances like registration of in house society, providing of society office room, security guard, changing room for security guards/workers, sanitation of water tanks, installation of water pump motors etc.
The VC assured them full cooperation in meeting their genuine demands well in time and directed the engineering wing to submit the estimation of work cost at the earliest.
The VC also assured the delegation that the matter for freehold rights of the flats will be discussed with Board of Directors of JDA in coming board meeting. He directed the Director Land Management/ Chief Town Planner, JDA to submit the proposal for use of land adjoining Udhyog Bhawan and Postal Department at Railhead complex so that the same could be put to auction.
Meanwhile, as part of its anti-encroachment drive, the Jammu Development Authority today removed un-authorised structure at Rajinder Nagar Housing Colony Phase -I, Jammu. The demolition operation was conducted by the enforcement wing of Jammu Development Authority which demolished 10 unauthorized structures, lifted the materials from plot no. 259-271 from JDA Housing Colony at Rajinder Nagar Phase-I. The land was under encroachment for the past quite long time and now has been retrieved.
