HC Bar Association’s concern over irregular power, water supply

JAMMU, May 13: A meeting of the executive committee of the J&K High Court Bar Association was held under the chairmanship of its president, M K Bhardwaj here today.
In the meeting the participants expressed grave concern over the prevailing problems of irregular supply of drinking water, electricity and traffic congestion in and around Jammu city.
They appealed the Government to immediately stop unscheduled cuts in the electricity supply in the coming days of scorching heat and   provide neat and clean drinking water to the consumers while maintaining regular supply of the same.
It further was appealed to the Government to immediately eradicate traffic chaos in the Jammu city due to which it has become difficult for the public to reach in time to its destination and is a major cause for road traffic accidents and various other crimes on the roads.
Sindhu Sharma (vice-president), Ranjit S Jamwal (general secretary), Prem N Sadotra (joint secretary), senior members   D R Khajuria, V R Wazir,  V B Gupta, D S Saini, Surinder Singh, N P Kotwal, B S Manhas, N A Choudhary,  R K Kotwal, Pawan Manni, Sanjay Kakkar, Dinesh Chouhan, B K Bhat, R S Durswal, Ashok Basotra and Rajesh Thappa were among others who attended the meeting.
