BHADERWAH, May 13: Former Minister and MLA Bhaderwah, Mohd Sharief Niaz has demanded tents, free ration and relief money for the victims of earthquake in his constituency.
The Congress MLA who had an extensive tour of the entire Assembly segment, claimed that nearly 30% houses have collapsed while majority of others have developed cracks. These houses have turned unsafe for use. In many areas people are staying outside.
Mr Niaz who paid visit to Bhella, Panthan, Basnota, Puneja, Bhalessa, Malhota, Panshie, Rokali, Bolian, Thalaila, Sewa, Chirala, Bhalera and entire Bhadherwah town urged the State and the Central Government to provide relief/ financial assistance to the affected people without any delay. He said the people need tents, medicines, ration etc. The MLA also demanded free timber for the repair of damaged houses and restoration of power supply snapped to several villages.
