JAMMU, May 11: The Government today ordered posting of Javed Masood Fazili, Staff Officer to Director General Prisons, K Rajendera as new Superintendent of high security Kot Bhalwal jail.
He would replace Rajni Sehgal, who was placed under suspension by the Government after the murderous assault on Pakistani prisoner Sanaullah Ranjay, who had later succumbed to his injuries at PGIMER Chandigarh.
After Mrs Sehgal’s suspension, District Jail Ambphalla Superintendent Dinesh Sharma had been looking after the charge of Kot Bhalwal jail.
Mr Rajendera today visited Kot Bhalwal jail and held a high level review of security scenario.
He directed the jail staff to remain on high alert. He also met some prisoners and inquired about their problems.
