JAMMU, Dec 23: Deputy Mayor, Purnima Sharma here today laid the foundation stone for construction of a shed and a hall at Batmalu Mandir near Mubarak Mandi in Ward-1.
MP, Jugal Kishore Sharma was chief guest on this occasion while Maha Mandleshwar Mahant Rameshwar Dass, Mahant Rajesh Bittu, Mahant Yogi Yougeshwar Nath and Rajesh Gupta of VHP were also present.
A handout stated that hall and shed was long pending requirement of the temple as pilgrims had no hall for Satsang purpose there.
It also stated that Deputy Mayor took a note of this and approved development work worth Rs. 10 lakh for the construction of shed over the temple and hall at the back of the temple.

Speaking on the occasion, Purnima Sharma said earlier the project of hall was halted due to unknown reasons but now it will be started and completed and then it will be handed over to the temple authorities.
Speaking on the occasion, MP Jugal Kishore said he will also provide Rs. 10 lakh from his CDF for the development of Batmalu Temple.
The Deputy Mayor appealed people not to wander out of their houses unnecessarily as COVID-19 cases are still on the rise.
She also stressed on the important of wearing masks and practicing social distancing.
