Cong workers celebrate Karnataka victory

JAMMU, May 8: Activists of Congress celebrated land-sliding victory of the party at the PCC headquarters Jammu besides other District Congress offices across the State today.
A number of senior Congress leaders and workers assembled at PCC headquarters Shahidi Chowk here and distributed sweets. The drum beaters were also hired and the jubilant Party workers celebrated the occasion. They were also raising slogans in praise of AICC president and the party as well.
Senior leaders including Ex-MP Dharam Pal Sharma, Gurmukh Singh, Thakur Hari Singh, Ravinder Sharma, Shah Mohammed and others while speaking on the occasion described the victory of party in Karnataka as trend setter for the future polls in the country. They said the people have voted for the programmes and policies of the party under the leadership of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi and Dr Manmohan Singh. The people have rejected the BJP and other regional parties.
The JKPCC leadership congratulated the AICC president and the Prime Minister for the victory of the Party in Karnataka.
District Congress Committee Udhampur workers also celebrated the victory of the party in a function organized at the local party office at the district today this afternoon. Sham Lal Samnotra DCC general secretary, senior leader Brij Mohan Sharma and other leaders and party workers also took out victory rally in the town and distributed sweets among the people and party workers. Drum beaters were leading the rally and jubilation was witnessed among the party workers. They raised slogans in support of AICC leadership.
Similar, celebrations were held at Congress office at Srinagar, Rajouri, Doda, Kathua and other district headquarters of the Party today.
