SRINAGAR, May 8: Stressing that human resource of the State had to be provided opportunities of growth, senior PDP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Muzaffar Hussain Baig today criticized the new recruitment policy of Coalition Government.
“It is unfortunate that in a world where wages and salaries are determined by education and skill, the process has been reversed in Jammu and Kashmir. Here jobs are being created to suit a low wage structure which is pushing bright young people into despair and disillusionment,” he rued.
Baig was addressing a party workers meeting at Kulgam today. On this occasion senior vice president of the party Molvi Iftikhar Hussain Ansari, MLA Ab Rehman Veeri, Sofi Abdul Gaffar, Nazir Ahmed Laway, Farooq Ahmed Rather and others were also present and spoke to the convention.
Baig said Jammu and Kashmir has a great tradition of knowledge and skills but these qualities have been severely restricted and compromised by political parties running the Government for many decades. “We are determined to change this depressing scenario and enable each of our youth to realize his potential by creating opportunities for education, skill development and dignified employment”, he said.
Highlighting the achievements of PDP-Congress regime, Baig said under the leadership of Mufti Mohammed Sayeed, the Government brought in a sense of security within no time and used the available Government machinery to the best advantage of people.
Today once again people of the State are facing worst kind of situation with lawlessness on one hand and mis-governance and corruption on the other.
Speaking on this occasion senior vice president of the party Molvi Iftikhar Ansari accused the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah of making hilarious noises on issues out of his domain. “He is resorting to such histrionics only to hide his countless failures”, he added.
