mendhar, May 7: The people of Dhargloon village today gathered at BSNL Exchange, Dhargloon and protested against the failure of broadband services of BSNL and fake excuses given by the District Engineer and other officers of the department.
In a fit of anger, the villagers locked the main gate of BSNL Exchange Dhargloon and raised slogans against the BSNL officials.
The protestors said that on one side we are dreaming of 3G and 4G to access the internet for globalization platform, but the real picture is at its worst end, as in village Dhargloon where BSNL has a monopoly of Broadband Services, the BSNL exchange is lingering on its untoward days including landline and mobile services.
“The employees remain absent for continuous days from their duty in several BSNL Exchanges of the area including Harni, Mankote and Dabraj. Many exchanges of the area are taking services of Telecom technicians from their security guards and even not a single mechanic is present in the exchanges on the duty”, they alleged.
