Kathua, May 7: A police party of P/S Kathua on a specific information today laid down a Naka at Parliwand Kathua and apprehended one person namely Birbal Mehra S/o Tarsem Lal Mehra R/o ward No. 08 Kathua and recovered 740 capsules of Par-van-Spas from his possession. A case FIR 166/2013 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act stands registered against the arrested accused.
A police party of P/S Rajbagh during a naka at Haria Chak recovered a stolen motorcycle bearing registration No. PB 58-G 3021. On spotting the naka party from a distance, the rider of motorcycle left the motorcycle on the road and fled away from the spot. He was later identified as Farooq S/o Munnu R/o Khanpur, Tehsil Hiranagar. As regard to this theft Police Station Rajbagh had already registered a case FIR No. 83/2013 u/s 379 RPC on 05.05.2013 on a complaint by the owner of the motorcycle namely Karan Singh S/o Amar Singh R/o Haria Chack Tehsil Hiranagar, district Kathua.
