UDHAMPUR, Dec 16: Chenani police worked out a murder case with the arrest of two accused from Pathankote area of Punjab.
As per police sources, on December 13 this year, an information was received at Police Station Chenani that dead body of a man namely Vijay Kumar, son of Sai Das of Lower Mada Tehsil Chenani, was lying in the Mada area.
Acting over the information, a case under FIR Number 135/2020 under Sections 302, 307, 458, 120B and 323 IPC was registered at Police Station Chenani and investigation started.
On specific information, a team from Police Station Chenani led by SHO Inspector Pushpinder Singh Chib raided several places after making hectic efforts arrested the two accused identified as Parshotam, son of Jagan Nath of Chunti Tehsil Udhampur and Radha Devi, wife of Gurdeep Singh (brother of the deceased) of Lower Mada Chenani from Pathankot area of Punjab where they were hiding in a sarai.
The other co-accused have been identified and efforts are being made to nab them.
