Doda, May 5: Minister of State for Home Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo, alongwith SP Doda Mohammad Arif Rishu and other officers took stock of relief measures being under taken by district adminisation and district police in Thathri, Prem Nagar and Suigwari areas in the aftermath of earth quake.
He met with affected people who were shifted to tented accommodation by district police and told them to assist revenue authorities in the assessment of damages so that relief measures are under taken swiftly. He assured them that he will take up the matter with Divisional Commissioner Jammu to conduct relief measures in all affected areas in speedy manner.
He instructed the accompanying SP Doda to react to any unforeseen exigency / calamity affectively and swiftly and put all the men and machinery under his command into work to assist the affected people.
It is pertinent to mention here that district police has already put on alert all Police Stations, Police Posts and Minority Pickets/VDCs/ Operation Groups located in various villages to act swiftly to any exigency and assist the public. The communication network in the district has been activated to provide timely situation reports from different areas. Besides, reserves kept at Bhaderwah, Gandoh and Doda to tackle any unforeseen situation.
