JAMMU, May 4: Jodhamal Public School Jammu participated in the International Youth Conference on ‘Earth and Man’ organized by ‘The Achievers Program’ at The Doon School, Dehradun, recently.
28 other leading schools from all over India participated in the event and Mayo Colleges, Welham, Sanawar, The Doon School, The British School, Vasant Valley School, Shri Ram School are a few to name.
Team Jodhamal School took part in the event under the supervision of teacher in- charge Roopinder Kour and student representatives Divyansh Suri and Anandita Kuthiala.
All the teams put forward and elaborated upon as to what Policies and Plans their respective schools were propagating for maintaining equilibrium between ‘Earth and Man’.
Team Jodhamal made a comprehensive presentation on rainwater harvesting practices on campus and its impacts on ground water table. Also detailed study was presented on The Ozone Layer and depletion of its cover area in a chronological manner.
The expert panel including Headmaster Doon School, Peter McLaughlin and the Chief Organiser of TAP-the Achievers’ Program, Taranvir Singh appreciated the presentation.
