POONCH, May 4: The police arrested a youth and recovered a kidnapped girl of Surankote area from a hotel in Rajouri today.
A police spokesman said that acting on a specific information, a police party raided a hotel and recovered the girl, hailing from Marhote village and arrested the alleged kidnapper. He was identified as Abdul Aziz, son of Mohd Sharief, resident of Harhi village. The minor girl was kidnapped on April 10, 2013 and Aziz took her to Punjab. They returned yesterday and were staying in a hotel at Rajouri. On the basis of some inputs, police raided the hotel and recovered the girl. After medical examination she was restored to the family. The police has started investigation.
