Reasi, May 4: A Rashtriya Rifles unit located at Bagga under Reasi based Rashtriya Rifles forces, took responsibility of educating a girl child from its area of responsibility.
Afroz Banoo, daughter of late Roshandin who was killed by militants during the peak of militancy in Gulabgarh, is being sponsored by the battalion for paying of school fees, books, stationary and uniform for her entire schooling. Afroz who is resident of village Tuksan in tehsil Mahore, district Reasi is presently studying Class VI at Govt Middle School, Tuksan.
Commanding Officer of the Rashtriya Rifles battalion met the girl and her family and conveyed them good wishes for the future. He motivated the girl to put in sincere efforts in her academic pursuits.
