UDHAMPUR, Nov 30: An elderly woman was found dead under mysterious circumstances at her house near Venus Chowk on Dhar Road even as a close relative of the deceased alleged that she had been murdered.
The deceased, identified as Nirmala Devi (70), wife of late Dina Nath, resident of Venus Chowk, was living alone as her son and daughter-in-law were not having good relations with her. She was found dead this morning when her daughter’s son visited the house for offering her breakfast.
Even as there were no apparent injury marks on the body, the grandson alleged that his maternal grandmother had been murdered.
On being informed, Udhampur Police shifted the dead body to District Hospital Udhampur, and after the postmortem, it was handed over to the family members for last rites. A case has been registered in this connection for further investigation even as no arrest was made.
