JAMMU, Nov 4: High Court has directed the Government to consider and take decision on the objections/suggestions relating to delimitation of territorial constituencies of District Development Council.
The order has been passed in a petition filed by Javed Iqbal seeking direction to the respondent authority to consider and decide the objections/suggestions dated 23.10.2020 to the notification dated 19.10.2020 submitted with respect to the delimitation of the territorial constituencies in Rajouri, limited to Block Budhal Old and its adjoining areas, as well as the objections to the notification dated 27.10.2020 as the same are within time.
After hearing Advocate Vikarma Sharma appearing for the petitioner, Justice Tashi Rabstan disposed of petition with a direction to the respondent authority to consider and decide the objections/suggestion for delimitation of territorial constituencies of DDC if there is no legal impediment within a period of ten days.
