AIBCU asks OBCs to contest DDC elections on their own

JAMMU, Oct 28: All India Backward Classes Union (AIBCU) has asked other backward communities (OBCs) of J&K to contest District Development Council elections at their own without supporting any political party.
The Union also asked the OBCs not to consider any OBC candidate from any political party as their candidate but consider such candidates as stooges of political parties.
AIBCU further stated that it will support only the OBC independent candidates in DDC elections if held any time in J&K.
In a telephonic meet AIBCU executive body expressed resentment that no share of 27 per cent for OBCs as per apex court’s judgement been given in J&K even after the abrogation of Article 370.
Kewal Krishan Fotra, Jia Lal Verma, Sham Lal Verma, Gurmeet Singh, Dr Javed Ahmed Teli, Basharat Hussain Najar, Mohd Haneif Ahanger, M.R Bangotra and Prof Kali Dass attended the meeting.
