JAMMU, Oct 22: Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF), the biggest organizer of Olympiad exams for school going students in the world, has announced that this year Olympiad exams will be conducted online due to COVID-19 pandemic.
Mahabir Singh, Founder Director of SOF said that all the students will be able to appear in the said exam from their homes
He said the SOF is partnering a leading international organization to conduct online exams. Extensive use of artificial intelligence, remote proctoring, video recording of exam and various other tools will be used to ensure integrity of exams, he said.
During this academic session (2019-20) over 56000 schools from 32 countries registered for the six Olympiad exams. “Awards, gifts, prizes and scholarships will be awarded to the winning schools and students from each class, state and at the international level,” he added.
“SOF is going to conduct four Olympiad exams this year including SOF International General Knowledge Olympiad, SOF International English Olympiad, SOF National Science Olympiad and SOF International Mathematics Olympiad and registrations are open and students may register up to 15 days before date of each exam,” he informed.
It is pertinent to mention here that last year around 31000 students from hundreds of schools of Jammu appeared in the Olympiads exam from class one to 12th.
