JAMMU, Oct 20: During the ongoing “My Town My Pride” programme, Director Industries and Commerce Jammu Anoo Malhotra visited Municipal Committee Vijaypur, Samba.
The visiting officer interacted with President Municipal Committee and all other elected ward members of Vijaypur.
Government officials of different departments listened to all the grievances, demands and proposals for development of Vijaypur town from different ward members and also received memorandums from them.
Visiting officer also directed the officers of different departments to make general public aware of their departmental schemes. She distributed the copies of sanction orders of JK Bank loans and domicile certificates to the general public and also stressed upon the employment generation through PMEGP scheme.
She also inspected the stalls of different departments which were highlighting their departmental schemes and directed the officers concerned for on spot registration under different Government schemes.
Malhotra flagged off the Anti Drug and cycle rallies by students so as to aware the young generation of the town to stay away from drugs and choose a healthy life.
Visiting officer listened the grievances of general public of Vijaypur town and received proposals from public and public representatives regarding development of Vijaypur town. She also distributed the sports kit to the students. On the occasion, cultural programme was also organised.
She along with President Municipality and other officers visited Higher Secondary School, Vijaypur and checked Aadhar Centre. She also checked the examination hall of the school and also visited the fish pond. She also visited houses completed under PMAY.
Anoo Malhotra also visited and checked the completed works of the town and note down the different works needs to be undertaken as proposed by the President Municipality and ward members of Vijaypur Town.
The program was attended by President Municipal Committee Vijaypur Deepak Kumar, GM DIC Samba Sansar Chand, SDM Vijaypur CP Kotwal, Ward Members of Vijaypur town, Officers and officials from different departments.
