JAMMU, Oct 20: Baba Bhair Dev Sathan Trust has demanded approval of road project from Katal Battal to Dev Sathan Baba Bhair.
In a meeting, Trust members appealed to the Lieutenant Governor of J&K to direct the concerned authorities for immediate approval of the project as it is awaiting the same since March 20, 2020.
Speaking in the meeting Trust President, Balwant Singh said, the Chief Engineer in a letter to Commissioner Secretary Public Works (R&B) Department in March this year requested that funding for the road should be considered but no action has been taken so far in this regard.
He appealed to the LG to personally intervene into the matter and get the road project approved at an earliest so that lakhs of pilgrims may heave a sigh of relief.
Construction of temple and a Yatri Hall at the religious place were also reviewed in the meeting.
B.S Jamwal, Ex DC; Subash Shastri; General Secretary of Trust, Ramesh Sharma; Om Parkash, Kirtal Singh, Sarpanch, Subash Sharma, Girdhari Lal and Joginder Singh were also present in the meeting.
