JAMMU, Sept 17: In connection with celebration of 70th birth day of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, BJP organised various functions at different places across Jammu & Kashmir region and prayed for his long life. To commemorate the day party leaders held various programmes across the UT at booth level by planting saplings, organizing cleanliness drives, distributing ration and sweets among the masses.
The party organized a virtual rally on the occasion which was addressed by Swami Dinesh Bharti along with former BJP president and former Dy. CM Dr. Nirmal Singh and former Dy. CM Kavinder Gupta from party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
BJP senior leaders former MLC, Vikram Randhawa, Arvind Gupta, Th. Narain Singh, Tilak Gupta and others were also present during the rally.
Swami Dinesh Bharti during his speech deliberated the various aspects of strong personality of PM Modi and said that Narendra Modi possesses strong traits of intellectualism, spiritualism, patriotism and humanitarianism. He said that with the strong decision making capacity and the clarity of thoughts, PM Modi has ensured strong decisive governance for the betterment of the nation and the citizens. He praised him for his role in the decision on Shree Ram Mandir, which was pending since five centuries, abolition of discriminatory Triple Talaq, historical decision to abrogate Article 370 and many other decisions.
Dr. Nirmal Singh while addressing the rally said Narendra Modi struggled through various phases of life but never compromised on his principles. He said that with the clear vision and perseverance, Modi Ji progressed in life while serving on various important positions.
Kavinder Gupta, deliberated on various programmes undertaken by the BJP activists in the UT among the general masses. He said that following the principle of “Antodaya”, every BJP activist ensured that every needy person is approached promptly in this week.
The birthday of Prime Minister, was celebrated at Jammu East constituency with great enthusiasm by cutting a cake and dancing on the tune of Dhols at Purani Mandi area.
The celebrations were held at several place in Jammu East constituency in which a function was held at Chabutra Chowk by Rahul; Purani Mandi by Amit Gupta; Peermitha Chowk by Anil Bullah Shah; Shalamar Chowk by Sandeep Dogra and Shaheedi Chowk by Adarsh Kumar.
In all the functions, Yudhvir Sethi along with Pt Prem Nath Dogra, Parveen Kerni, Vipin Sharma office bearers and party workers were present.
Addressing media persons, Yudhvir said that the Prime Minister has raised the honor of India around the globe by taking the country on the path of progress. Pt Prem Nath Dogra prayed for the long and healthy life of Modi Ji.
A programme was organized in Ward-41 by BJP Urban Local Bodies Cell convenor and local councilor, Sanjay Baru to celebrate the birthday of the Prime Minister.
In the programme, the dry ration material and fruit were distributed among the Safai Karamcharies of the Ward and the needy, BJP Mandal president Keshav Chopra was also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Sanjay Baru said that ever since Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister of the country, he took many historical decisions one after the other.
BJP Mahila Morcha Displaced District held a function at Jagti which was organised under the leadership of Doly Raina as per Kashmir rituals and Priya Bhat its vice president. During the programme party prayed for long life of PM to realize his dream of making India Vishav Guru. Meenakshi Wali, Sujata Koul, Urmila Kanth Pyari Lal and Ravi Ji also participated. Councilor Mattan, Vimal Raina was chief guest on the occasion.
