Primary school among demands raised by former MLA

JAMMU, Sept 13: Former MLA, Ramban Ashok Kumar has urged upon the Chief Engineer PMGSY to get complete the link road from Pouni to Shoypal.
He also urged upon the Director School Education to start new primary school at Shoypal as it was sanctioned seven years back. The former MLA said that children have to travel a long distance to get primary education.
Interacting with the people of Shoypal, Kriya, Madhani, Pouni and Balwat during two day tour of Ramban Constituency, Ashok said, the 10 km stretch of PMGSY road from Pouni to Shoypal is in very bad shape.
Locals of the area told Kumar that the dilapidated road for the last six years is a problem for students, pregnant ladies and daily commuters.
They also said that it takes about two hours to cover 10 km distance on this road due to its bad shape.
Ashok Kumar also demanded improvement in electricity at Shoypal, Kriya and Madhani.
He demanded 63 KVA transformer at Shoypal, 25 KVA transformer at Kriya village and 63 KVA transformer at Balawat.
