SAMBA, Sept 12: Members of the Casual Labourers United Front held a demonstration at the Veer Bhoomi Park in district Samba demanding the regularisation of the daily wage and settlement of their other demands.
The demonstration was spearheaded by State president of the Front, Tanvir Hussain. He said that the arrears of many daily salaried employees working in different departments should be released besides their regularisation orders be also issued soon.
He said that every government has treated these daily wage workers step-motherly and these people have been serving in various departments for many years but no Government has given any assurance on their demands. They have been given assurances after assurances but to no avail and there is huge anger among daily wagers against the Government.
The others who addressed protestors also included Deepak Gupta, Sanjeev Thakur and Darshan.
