JAMMU, Sept 10: The first R-ABI Incubation Committee (RIC) meeting of Agri Business Incubator, SKUAST-Jammu for the current year was held here today under the chairmanship of Professor JP Sharma, Vice Chancellor, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu.
The meeting was conducted under the project RKVY-RAFTAAR project sponsored by Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, GoI.
The project is functional at Division of Agricultural Economics and ABM, Chatha.
Professor Sharma urged the participants that their services and products should be of high quality that must compete with the competitive market. He suggested the PI and Co-PI’s of the project to reach out the young entrepreneurs of UT of J&K and motivate them to join the programme so that they can grab the golden opportunity provided by Government of India whose objective is to boost the Startups in the country and train them so that they can compete at market level with rest of the country.
Earlier, Dr Jyoti Kachroo, Professor and Head, AEABM, PI and Incharge R-ABI, Jammu welcomed all the dignitaries and gave brief presentation to the Chairman and members about the working and procedural guidelines of the project.
All the participants presented their innovative concepts before the committee.
The experts from different fields viz Dr Ashok Aima, Vice Chancellor, Central University Jammu, Annil Suri, MD AB Industries, SIDCO Industrial Complex, Jammu, Priyanka Magu ZTM and BPO Unit, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi, Priya Ranjan AGM, NABARD, KK Sharma Agricultural Economist, Directorate of Agriculture, Jammu and Ankush Kohli Chartered Accountant attended the meeting and evaluated different participants.
Few of the Members and participants participated through online mode.
The Co-PI’s of the project viz Dr Sudhakar Dwivedi Associate Professor, Dr. SP Singh Assistant professor and Dr Anil Bhat Assistant Professor were also present during the meeting.
Business Executives, Ashish Isher and Tarunjeet facilitate online streaming of the programme.
At the end vote of thanks was given by Dr Sudhakar Dwivedi. Proceedings of the meeting were conducted by Dr Anil Bhat.
